Deal Lift AI · How this service works and what it is not
Effective date: April 2026
What Deal Lift AI does
Deal Lift AI analyses publicly available information about businesses listed for sale in Australia, together with information submitted by the user. For each listing submitted, the service reviews the material provided, checks visible public signals where practical, and applies AI-assisted reasoning to indicate where practical AI-led improvements may create commercial value for a buyer.
The service is designed to help prospective buyers and other users form an initial view about whether a business may have meaningful AI uplift potential. It is an indicative screening tool only.
How the Deal Lift Score is calculated
The Deal Lift Score is a proprietary weighted composite scored out of 10. It draws on assessment across seven categories:
- Revenue Expansion Potential
- Cost Reduction Potential
- Marketing Optimisation Potential
- Automation Readiness
- Customer Experience Improvement Potential
- Owner Dependence Reduction Potential
- Buyer Attractiveness Uplift
The weighting applied to each category and the relative contribution of observed signals versus sector baselines are part of our proprietary methodology and are not disclosed. Each output is accompanied by a confidence level that reflects the quantity, quality, and verifiability of the available information.
Evidence classification
Every assessment separates three types of evidence:
- Publicly verified — information we were able to verify from public sources that appeared attributable to the business;
- Listing-stated — claims in a listing or submitted material that we have not independently verified; and
- Sector-inferred — conclusions drawn from sector patterns, public benchmarks, and operating logic where direct evidence is incomplete or unavailable.
This classification is intended to help you understand what is directly supported by visible information and what remains inferred.
Confidence levels
- High — substantial, attributable public information was available and key points could be cross-checked.
- Medium — some relevant public information was available, but important points remained listing-stated or inferred.
- Low — limited public information was available, or the assessment relied materially on listing content or sector inference.
A higher confidence level does not mean a report is correct in every respect. It means only that more of the visible inputs could be checked.
Limits of the service
- Deal Lift AI is not a valuation or appraisal.
- It is not financial product advice within the meaning of section 766B of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth). We do not hold an AFSL and have not considered your personal objectives, financial situation, or needs.
- It is not due diligence. We do not access private financial statements, internal systems, customer databases, contracts, staff records, or other non-public materials unless you submit them.
- It is not legal, tax, accounting, or broker advice.
AI limitations you need to understand
The service uses AI systems, including generative AI. You should treat every output on the understanding that:
- outputs are probabilistic, not deterministic, and may be affected by incomplete public information, stale listings, incorrect source material, attribution errors, model limitations, or changes to the business since publication;
- AI systems can “hallucinate” — that is, produce plausible but incorrect statements, including fabricated references, figures, or claims;
- examples of uplift, automation opportunity, buyer appeal, or commercial outcomes are illustrative and are not promises or guarantees of future performance or transaction results; and
- we do not warrant that any output is accurate, complete, current, suitable for your purpose, or sufficient for any acquisition, valuation, funding, compliance, or legal decision.
Your responsibility to verify
Before relying on any output or taking any commercial action, you should independently verify the facts, figures, and claims on which you rely, and consider obtaining appropriate independent advice.
By using the service you acknowledge that you understand the limitations of AI-generated content and accept the risk of relying on any output without independent verification.
